Mobility Inventory Control & Accounting System (MICAS)
MICAS automates the receipt, inspection, storage, issue, shipment, and inventory control of chemical/biological equipment at each Air Force base and at the Air Force Consolidated Mobility Bag Control Center (CMBCC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

MICAS is an automated, multi-user Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) system integrated with barcode scanners and printers and wireless handheld computers. MICAS provides the following benefits:
  • Revolutionizes the way mobility equipment is managed
  • Ensures Total Asset Visibility (TAV) of critical assets at all levels of management
  • Allows for quick and easy summarization of data for rollup to a higher level.
  • Provides reliable data about who has recalled assets and where those assets are located.
  • Assures that the asset is safe and reliable at the time of issuance.
  • Generates required congressional reports.
  • Provides the most comprehensive shelf life management program in the Department of Defense.
