Two CDO Teams Recognized for Outstanding Service
AFRC Recognized in Gears of the Government Awards Program: James Hein, James “Allen” Holmstrom, and Demarko Lee Thanked.
Congratulations to the Air Force Reserve Command for receiving the Gears of the Government Award. Gears of the Government awards are designed to recognize government individuals and teams “whose dedication supports exceptional delivery of key outcomes for the American people, specifically around mission results, customer service, and accountable stewardship.” AFRC received the Gears of the Government Award in a letter dated 14 Jan 2021, signed by Barbara Barrett (former Secretary of The AF).
We are especially proud of three CDO team members who were recognized by AFRC when they received the Gears of the Government Award. James Hein, James “Allen” Holmstrom, and Demarko Lee were specifically called out for their outstanding work in support of the President’s Management Agenda and the National Defense Strategy. These individuals are excellent examples of hard work paying off as they each put forth daily effort in Program Management (Hein), Network Infrastructure (Holmstrom), and Virtualization (Lee). Their efforts were key to the Reserve Command receiving this prestigious award and sets these individuals apart as someone to emulate.
VTC Team at AFRC Recognized in Letter of Appreciation from General Stacey Scarisbrick: Alan Skinner, Samuel Butler, Joseph Miller, Nigel Mumford, and Aaron Pierce Thanked.
CDO’s VTC Team at AFRC was recognized in a letter of appreciation from General Stacey Scarisbrick. Members of the team (Alan Skinner, Samuel Butler, Joseph Miller, Nigel Mumford, and Aaron Pierce) provided valuable support to the coordination and facilitation of 61 AFRC Crisis Action Team (CAT) meetings.
Their diligence resulted in dissemination of vital information to the entire command, and their actions were instrumental in maintaining timely and effective crisis response command and control during a time of uncertainty. This action directly contributed to countless lives saved in the northeast US as 233 medical specialists were deployed to New York City and surrounding states.
Congratulations to these team members and thank you for all your hard work!
